After our recent experience from aftermath of Cyclone Debbie…Cec and I couldn’t let the opportunity go by without putting pen to paper to say how impressed we were by the service and attention to detail for our claim given by Rick Davis ((and his staff ) at Sarina Insurance Brokers .
We were challenged particularly by lack of email/mobile and landline phones and Rick stepped up to act on our behalf with the insurance company and providers/tradies involved…don’t know what we would have done without Rick !!
We havent wasted any time telling our neighbours what great service we have had – having muddy floodwaters inundate their homes/sheds was not a great experience but they were surprised to hear how much we had covered by our policy…guess who we are renewing our policy with next week ?? After having an accident while working in the shed at home recently, I went to the doctors and had an X-ray. It showed a fracture to my right hand with recovery time diagnosed as 4-6 weeks.
I phoned my broker Rick Davis from Sarina Insurance and he got onto my accident insurer Onepath promptly, I then received a 10 min phone call from Onepath asking about the incident and expected recovery time etc.
I received an email with the forms to complete to apply for income protection payment. After I returned the forms I received advice from Onepath that they were accepted and I will receive payment within 2 weeks, it was a quick and easy process.
This is the second time I have had to lodge a claim due to injury; I have well and truly received a return for my premiums and recommend everyone should consider Income Protection cover.
I would like to thank the team at Sarina insurance who went out of their way to keep in touch throughout the whole process.
I highly recommend Rick and his team; and Onepath of course.

We would like to thank Rick Davis and his great team at Sarina Insurance and Financial Services for their prompt response and finalising of our insurance claims after Cyclone Debbie. Their personal touch and understanding of our circumstances certainly helped us cope through very difficult circumstances. This included an out of working hours housecall we made to Rick after we discovered our entire orchard machinery shed went under five and a half feet of water. He quickly set our minds at peace and literally got the wheels to our recovery moving.
Similarly Rick’s staff were faultless in the organisation of assessors, technicians and cleaners for our house’s flooded groundfloor. With this work underway, Graham and I were able to focus our attention on recommencing our harvest.
Coming through a destructive weather event like Cyclone Debbie has had emotional repercussions on us, but we are sincerely grateful to Rick and his team for their genuine interest and attention to our claims, which we believe definitely lessened the stress of this situation.
